Vani Ganapathi is pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from the Florida International University. She already holds a Masters in Biotechnology from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India and a Bachelors of Science in Biotechnology from Krishna Government College in Andhra Pradesh. Rosa Babino graduated with a Master's Degree from the School of Public Administration at Florida International University. She completed her undergraduate study in both Political Science and Spanish at the University of Washington. Rosa’s professional background is particularly diverse. Kassia Jurado is a student administrative assistant at the Latino Drug Abuse Research Center at Florida International University (FIU). She is concurrently pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She has previous work experience as a marketing sales representative and as team manager for the Women's Soccer program at FIU. Komal Sharma is a graduate assistant pursuing a Masters degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Florida International University. He received an undergraduate degree in Dental Sciences from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India. In addition to formal classroom study, he has worked as an intern at Government Dental College & Hospital (Ahmedabad, India) and at the Visnagar Community Health Center (Visnagar, India). Rui Song is a doctoral student in sociology at FIU. She expects to receive her Ph.D. in April 2007. She specializes in quantitative analysis and statistical programming in SAS, SPSS and STATA. She has been working with Dr. Chris Rice, which includes coauthoring with him a paper entitled “Estimating the Influence of Covariates on Interrater Agreement.” Her research centers on quantitative methods, economic sociology, social inequality, and policy studies.
