On Saturday, June 25th, Guitele Rahill, along with Roselande Marcellon, lectured on The Haitian Immigrant Family in South Florida: Risks, Resources and Lifestyle at the 12th Annual Building on Family Strengths Conference at the Portland Hilton.


Summary: In the interest of increasing cultural competency in mental health practice with Haitian families, this literature review and proposal for a qualitative study of three generations of Haitian women focuses on the experience of being a Haitian woman in the U.S. and on what Haitian women say to their daughters.
